Millsboro Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Chase Through Laurel

May 04, 2013 -- 7:24am

A Millsboro man is in jail on drug charges after Delaware State Police say he led them on a chase.

Troopers say around 10:15 Friday morning, they tried to pull over a Ford van driven by 50-year-old Bryan Parsons on Hitch Pond Road in Laurel. Instead, troopers say Parsons took off, and threw bags of heroin out the window. The chase turned into the River Vista development off Concord Road, and Parsons was arrested after a brief foot chase. Troopers say a search of the van turned up 13 bags of heroin, plus another bag in his home. A child in the home has been turned over to the Division of Family Services.

Parsons has been charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, resisting arrest, and several traffic offenses. He’s being held at SCI on $35,550 bail.
