Funding Available to Improve Clear Brook-Nanticoke River Watershed

May 01, 2013 -- 1:14am

Additional funding has been announced to improve the water quality in the Clear Brook-Nanticoke River Watershed.   $282,000 is being made available through USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services to help farmers and forestland owners install conservation practices that manage nutrients, pathogens and sediments.  Improving the water quality in the watershed is a priority and applications are being accepted year round – but the first deadline for the 2013 National Water Quality Initiative is June 21 and the sooner you apply the better chance you have to receive funding.
