A Caesar Rodney High School alum has been selected in the NFL Draft.
Duron Harmon, a safety from Rutgers University, was selected by the New England Patriots with the 91st overall pick during the third round of the draft on Friday. Harmon was New England's second pick in the third round. He was an all-Big East First Team safety last year. He had 50 tackles and one interception. Harmon won't be the only Rutgers defensive back on the Patriots. He'll be joining cornerback Logan Ryan in the Pats' defensive backfield.
The pick was so unexpected that ESPN reportedly didn't even have any highlights of Harmon to play when his selection was announced.
