Delaware State Police have arrested and charged a 36-year- old Philadelphia man for cocaine charges after a traffic stop for a cell phone violation on Route 1 near St. Georges Thursday afternoon.
Police say they observed the driver of a Pontiac Grand Prix using a cell phone while driving southbound on Route 1. Troopers stopped the car and a K-9 search of the vehicle turned up a quarter kilo of cocaine in the trunk with a street value of $10,000.
The driver, Orishafemi Swint was arrested and charged with numerous offenses. He was arraigned and released after posting $22,650 bail.
