Sen. Carper Releases Statement on Arrest of Boston Marathon Bombing Suspect

Delaware Senator Tom Carper Friday night released a statement after police took the second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings into custody.

Carper says our thoughts are with the people of Boston, and all those across the country and around the world who have been deeply affected by this tragedy over the past week; he also pointed out that so many lives have been forever changed by the events of this week.

Sen. Carper also thanked the people of Boston who not only cooperated with law enforcement as the event unfolded, but whose extraordinary participation had an important role in a successful arrest.
