Humane Society of U.S. Hosting Course For Police Officers On Investigating Animal Cruelty

The Humane Society of the United States will be offering a course on animal cruelty for police officers on Wednesday.

Humane Society University will teach police about how to investigate cases of animal cruelty and animal fighting, as well as on how to testify on such cases in court. Representatives from animal shelters in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania will attend the course, along with members of the Smyrna, Dover, Newark and Wilmington Police Departments.

The course will be held at the New Castle County Police Department’s Southern Headquarters on North Broad Street in Middletown.
