Election Day in Salisbury; Polls Open 7 A.M.-7 P.M.

Registered voters in Salisbury are heading to the polls today to elect a mayor and two council members.

Incumbent Mayor Jim Ireton is being challenged by Retired Businessman and Blogger Joe Albero.

In the District 1 City Council Race, Incumbent Shanie Shields is being challenged by Community Activist April Jackson and Businesswoman Cynthia Polk.

And Incumbent Debbie Campbell and Community Redevelopment Activist Jake Day will vie for the District 2 City Council seat.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; District 1 voters head to Fire Station 16 on Cypress Street; District 2 voters head to Harvest Baptist Church on South Blvd. or to the Wicomico Presbyterian Church on Broad Street. You should check your voter registration card to confirm your polling place before heading out to vote.
