Wilmington Man Arrested for Robbing Newark Credit Union

Apr 02, 2013 -- 4:57am

A 25-year-old Wilmington man is behind bars this morning, being held in lieu of $60,000 bail for allegedly robbing the Louviers Federal Credit Union on Kirkwood Highway in Newark Monday morning.

Delaware State Police say Anthony Diorio entered the credit union just after 11 a.m., approached the female teller and presented a hand written demand note for money that indicated that she would “get killed” if she did not comply with his demands.

The Teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and Diorio fled; he was arrested a short time later; police found the cash in his pants pocket.
