MSP Detective & Elderly Easton Woman Injured in Two Vehicle Crash

Maryland State Police are investigating a two vehicle accident Monday afternoon that injured a Detective and an elderly Easton woman.

Police say the crash happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Route 50 and Dutchman's Lane.

Police say 43-year-old Detective Sergeant Kevin Beauchamp was driving an unmarked 2009 Ford Crown Victoria eastbound on Route 50 approaching Dutchman’s Lane; 65-year-old Gail Mills was westbound on Route 50 in her Ford van and police say she drove into Beauchamp’s path as she attempted to turn left onto Dutchman’s Lane.

Both drivers were flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center; Mills is in serious condition; Beauchamp is in fair condition.
