Harrington Police on Saturday arrested a 42-year-old Smyrna man for his 5th DUI offense.

Police say they stopped Matthew Fabiszak on Route 13 at Delaware Avenue for a traffic violation. As officers approached the vehicle, they detected an odor of alcohol; Fabiszak was given a field sobriety test and arrested.

A computer check revealed that Fabiszak was wanted by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas and he was found to have four previous DUI convictions and was driving with a suspended license. 

Fabiszak was committed to SCI in lieu of $6,900 bail.
