Get ready to pay more to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel from Maryland’s to Virginia’s Eastern Shore.

Bridge-Tunnel officials say they plan to increase tolls by 10-percent next year for motorists.

The officials say the higher tolls will help fund construction of a new parallel tunnel at Thimble Shoals; that construction is slated to begin in 2020.
