The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the attempted arson of a motor vehicle in front of a Bear home Saturday morning.

Deputy Fire Marshals are searching for the person that caused $1,500 damage to a Chevy Malibu parked in front of a home on Channing Drive; the suspect flattened all four tires on the vehicle and attempted to set the vehicle on fire shortly before 5 am. 

A neighbor was able to disrupt the suspect and the suspect fled from the scene.
