Seized Drug Money Paying for New Park in Harrington

Feb 23, 2013 -- 5:12am

It appears that seized drug money in Harrington is being used to pay for a new park.

Harrington Police Chief Norm Barlow says the park is being constructed next to the police station and work in fact, is already underway. Barlow says the gazebo is almost finished and the next phase is to build a bandstand that the City can use for summer concerts, movie nights and the annual Christmas tree lighting held each December.

The park cost $20,000.
