DSP Arrest Two on Heroin Charges in Dover Parking Lot

State Police seized a large amount of heroin Friday evening in the parking lot of the Wendy’s in Dover.  Members of the State Police Drug Unit, Governor’s Task Force, Milford and Dover Police spotted a blue van with a man known to be distributing heroin.  Police contacted the occupants – 31 year old Jamar Tate of Wilmington who was found with 650 bags of heroin in his pants.  Another 130 bags were found in the center console of the van, which police determined had been sold to 24 year old Colby Hopkins of Milton.  Tate is charged with possession and other offenses and is at the VCC in default of $39,000 cash bail.  Hopkins also faces possession and other charges and is at the VCC in default of $32,000 cash bail.
