Delaware State Police are looking for a man who’s accused of scamming a woman last summer.
Troopers say back in June, 42-year-old Booker Martin scammed a 20-year-old woman by getting her to deposit a check into her bank account, and then withdraw a smaller amount to give to him, and keep the extra money. State Police say the check was from a closed account, and the woman’s account was charged with the loss, causing her to lose more than $2,100.
Martin is charged with second-degree forgery, theft by false pretense, and receiving stolen property. Anyone who knows where Martin might be is asked to call State Police Troop 4 at (302) 856-5850, extension 257, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
