Explosives Disposal Training Thursday From 8 AM to 4PM at Dover Air Force Base

Feb 06, 2013 -- 3:58pm

Explosives training will be taking place tomorrow at Dover Air Force Base.

Members of the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight and the Delaware State Police’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal Units will be doing joint demolitions training. The training will be done between 8 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon. During the training, residents nearby will hear more noise than usual coming from the training range, and may even feel the ground shake. The Air Force says the sound can travel even further with cloudy conditions.

The training helps ensure that members of EOD units are ready if and when they’re needed.
