The Delaware Department of Education is looking for sponsors for its summer meal program.
The Summer Food Service Program provides free meals and snacks during the summer for low-income students ages 18 and under who receive free and reduced-price meals during the school year. Meals and snacks are also available to people with disabilities who are over 18 and participate in school programs.
Program sponsors can be local governments, schools, summer camps and private nonprofits. Families with school-age students must meet the income eligibility requirements for the free and reduced-priced meal program.
