Delaware State Police are investigating an attempted robbery of a Wilmington man after he was transported to St. Francis Hospital with stab wounds Saturday afternoon.
Police were called to St. Francis Hospital around 2:30 p.m. after the 46-year-old man checked in with stab wounds.
The investigation revealed the victim was walking behind the Canby Park Shopping Center when he was approached by three suspects who demanded money from the victim and when the victim refused, a physical altercation ensued and he was ultimately stabbed twice by one of the suspects in the upper right torso.
The suspects fled without any money.
The victim was then picked up by a friend and driven to St. Francis Hospital.
