Two English Bulldogs Killed in Pittsville Kennel Fire

Two English bulldogs are dead following a fire in a kennel in Pittsville Tuesday morning.

Firemen from Pittsville, Willards and Powellville were called to the kennel on Friendship Road just before 3 a.m. The two bulldogs, along with four other dogs were trapped inside the 10 by 18-foot wooden dog kennel; four of the dogs were rescued or were able to escape the flames.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says the  fire caused an estimated $14,500 in damage. No word yet on what caused the fire.
