Vaccinations Still Available for Flu in Delaware

Jan 30, 2013 -- 12:56am

The flu is still widespread and working its way through Delaware and Public Health officials urge flu shot holdouts to get vaccinated.  As of last week there were 20 people hospitalized with flu-related illnesses in Delaware.  And the Division of Public Health has confirmed 868 flu cases statewide.  However they add that not everyone reports their flu – or sees a doctor so those numbers are likely lower than the actual number of people who have been sick with the flu since the season began in October.  Vaccinations are available by appointment at the State Service centers in Sussex County – in Georgetown, Milford and Frankford.
