Indian River School District Referendum Passes

Jan 29, 2013 -- 8:31pm

Both questions on the Indian River School District Referendum were approved by District voters today.  By approving both questions - property taxes will increase by 14.7 cents per $100 of assessed value - which is an average of just over $38.  The first question was to build 8 new classrooms at 6 district schools.  The second question was for current expenses - which include teacher salaries for new teachers, programs (full day K), materials, utilities and energy.
