DE House Votes in Favor of Allowing Gaming Machines; Senate Takes Up Measure Today

Jan 24, 2013 -- 5:04am

The Delaware House on Wednesday voted in favor of a bill to temporarily allow veterans and fraternal organizations to turn their video gambling machines back on.

Last year, the state deemed the machines were illegal. But since then, the groups have been meeting with legislators and Gov. Jack Markell’s Office to attempt to get the machines back.

The Delaware Senate is expected to take up House Bill 1 today in Dover.
