DNREC Enforcement Agents contacted 400 anglers, hunters, boaters and other members of the public – and also made 14 vessel boardings for compliance checks. They responded to 13 complaints – and issued 24 citations including an arrest on Monday of 53 year old Richard Nixon of Frankford who’s charged with possession of an antlered deer that was unlawfully taken in Maryland and then brought to Delaware. Nixon pleaded guilty and was fined $640 including court costs.
Three men were arrested after an investigation by DNREC Enforcement Agents into illegal hunting near Georgetown. 44 year old Ronald Cross and 19 year old Ronald Cross both of Georgetown and 31 year old Gregory Reed of Seaford are all charged with a variety of hunting violations. Each has been arraigned and fined and released.
