A Clayton man is dead after he refused to stop for police and crashed his vehicle in to a vacant house in Kent County, MD around 2am this morning. Police say 25 year old Adam Hughes was pronounced dead at the scene and his body taken to the state Medical Examiner. Hughes had been seen driving erratically in Delaware and a Clayton officer tried to stop Hughes for possible DUI, but he didn’t stop and the officer followed the vehicle into Maryland trying to stop it. In Millington the car went off the road, struck a curb and crossed the road again and rotated and hit a utility pole before crashing into the house.
