DSP Looking for Christiana Man Who Ran from Traffic Stop

Jan 16, 2014 -- 1:49pm

State Police are looking for the driver of a car who drove off after a traffic stop.  Police observed a car at a traffic light on Pulaski Highway in Bear – and a routine computer check showed the vehicle’s registration was suspended for lack of insurance.  Troopers pulled the car over and told the driver, 23 year old Mario Broome-Cummins of Christiana that his registration and license were suspended.  The trooper also smelled marijuana and told Broome-Cummins to get out of the car – instead he sped off.  The trooper followed for a short time – the car was later found abandoned in a parking lot – with 21.6 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and paraphernalia found inside.  Police have warrants for Broome-Cummins – if you know his whereabouts – call Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333.
