Early Morning Fire Destroys Cambridge Area Home

Jan 07, 2014 -- 2:27pm

Maryland State Fire Marshal investigators are investigating cause and origin of a fire that destroyed a home early this morning in Cambridge.  The fire on Ragged Point Road was called in by a neighbor just after 2:30 – no one was living at the home when the fire broke out.  There were smoke alarms present but it’s not known if they were working – and a fire alarm in the home was shut off because of a phone service cut off during the weather event.  Officials ask anyone with information to call the Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
