2 Sobriety Checkpoints this Weekend - 5 Lights Added to DUI Tree

Dec 12, 2013 -- 7:00pm

Last weekend’s sobriety checkpoints were cancelled because of the weather, however there were still patrols for the Safe Family Holiday patrols on the road during the week and they arrested 6 people for DUI.  Also 3 wanted people were arrested, police made 3 drug arrests and issued 185 citations for a variety of traffic violations.  Also 4 additional green lights have been added to the DUI Victims tree for 4 people injured in DUI-involved crashes.  The first red light has also been added for an alcohol related death.  There will be 2 sobriety checkpoints this weekend – both are Friday night – one is in Wilmington – and one in Rehoboth Beach.
