Route 1 in Milford will be closed each of the next two nights as part of the Route 1/Route 30 Overpass Project.
DelDOT will be closing the southbound lanes of Route 1 tonight between 8 p.m. and 6 p.m. to install the concrete beams for the overpass as part of the new interchange at the junction of Routes 1 and 30. As part of the work, the northbound left lane will also be closed. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto Route 36, and then to South Rehoboth Boulevard and the new on-ramp to get back onto Route 1.
Tomorrow night, also between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., the northbound lanes and the southbound left lane of Route 1 will also be closed for the installation of the beams. Northbound traffic will be detoured onto Johnson Road and Route 30, South Rehoboth Boulevard and Route 36.
