Grant Funding for 4 Municipal Parks - Including Frankford & Harrington

Grant funding has been approved for improvements to 4 municipal parks in the First State.  The funding comes from the Delaware Land & Water Conservation Trust Fund.  The town of Frankford received $30,000 to replace playground equipment and install lighting at Frankford Municipal Park – matching funds will be provided by town budget funding.  Harrington received $20,000 to install a pathway, benches and landscaping improvements at Freedom Park – with matching funds from the city budget.  The other 2 parks are in Wilmington and Newark.  Since the program began in 1988 over 300 projects at 338 parks have been funded through this grant program.
