Public Hearing in NCCo on High Cost of Fast Food

A public hearing on Taxpayer Cost of Low-Wage Fast Food Jobs will be held Tuesday, November 19 in the City/County Building in Wilmington at 1:30pm   The New Castle County Economic Development Sub-Committee will host fast food workers, economists and labor and community leaders who will examine the hefty cost to Delaware taxpayers created by fast food companies’ low wages.  Researchers have found that Delawareans and all Americans are forced to cover fast-food workers’ food, healthcare and other basic needs because they aren’t paid enough.
