Nov 01, 2013 -- 3:43pm

Gas prices are at their lowest of the year after several declines in October.  Gas prices dropped 12 cents per gallon in October and on the 31st the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded was 24 cents a gallon cheaper than a year ago.  For the past 87 days drivers have paid less than last year to fill up the tank.  The price at the pump began the year at $3.29 a gallon – and peaked at the end of February at $3.79 a gallon.
