Trick or Treating Safety Tips

Oct 25, 2013 -- 2:12pm

State Police remind everyone to keep safety a priority over Halloween.  Drivers should take it extra slow in neighborhoods and residential areas.  Children will be going from house to house looking for goodies – and may not have sidewalks available.  In their excitement they may also dart across the street into the path of moving vehicles.   Kids should have an adult or group of friends when trick or treating – never go out alone.  Be sure costumes fit properly and they can see through any eye holes in the costume.  Carry a flashlight and add glow sticks to the costume or bags and watch for cars.
