When it comes to education, Heather Mizeur (Mih-zeer) wants to shift away from high-stakes testing and renew Maryland’s commitment to public education funding. During a press conference Thursday in Baltimore, the Democratic candidate for governor says she wants a moratorium on using standardized test results for educator evaluations. Mizeur unveiled proposals aimed at closing the achievement gap through early childhood and afterschool investments.
