Oct 15, 2013 -- 11:54am

The city of Harrington will be recognized for its efforts to save feral cats.

“Alley Cat Allies,” a national animal protection group that advocates for feral cats, will present its “Architects of Change for Cats” award to Harrington as part of National Feral Cat Day tomorrow. Harrington is being honored for its community-wide Trap-Neuter-Return program for outdoor cats. Alley Cat Allies says Harrington is an example of a community working together to implement such a program.

The award ceremony will begin at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning at Harrington City Hall on Dorman Street.
