State Lawmakers Look to Cap Height of Landfill

State lawmakers are working to keep a landfill from becoming a towering pile filled with industrial and construction waste.  Senate Majority Leader David McBride and Representative James Johnson have introduced a bill that will address the height of the Delaware Recyclable Products Incorporated’s New Castle landfill, which is the only state landfill where industrial and construction waste are allowed.  The bill is a good first step in addressing community environmental concerns.
