A group of animal rights activists will be protesting in front of Perdue Farms’ corporate headquarters as part of a day to bring attention to the plight of farm animals worldwide.
As part of World Day for Farmed Animals, the activists will be joined by the national nonprofit group Farm Animal Rights Movement to protest what they call the brutalization of chickens that are raised for food.
The protest at Perdue Farms will begin at 12:30 this afternoon, and will be one of more than 100 nationally, including at USDA headquarters in Washington, DC, and slaughterhouses in big cities from coast to coast. FARM has also scheduled protests in several countries around the world.
