2 Arrested For Firearms Violations During Investigation in Somerset, Wicomico Counties

An investigation that stretched across three cities and two counties on the Lower Eastern Shore has resulted in the arrest of two men for firearms violations.

Crisfield Police carried out search and seizure warrants across Somerset and Wicomico Counties on Monday in connection with an earlier fight in Somers Cove in Crisfield. 23-year-old Deshawn Taylor was arrested during the execution of one of those warrants in Crisfield. 23-year-old Deandre Taylor was arrested when police carried out a search warrant in Princess Anne. Police say they found an illegal handgun in his possession.

Deshawn Taylor was charged with first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, and illegal possession of a handgun. Deandre Taylor was charged with possession of a firearm after a conviction. The Maryland State Police, Salisbury Police and the Somerset County Sheriff's Office were all part of the investigation. Crisfield Police say more arrests are likely.
