Delaware OHS Heavily Involved In Race Weekend at Monster Mile

Sep 25, 2013 -- 6:26am

The Delaware Office of Highway Safety will be very much involved in this weekend’s racing action at The Monster Mile in Dover.

The office will be sponsoring the Driver Sober 150 in the K&N Pro East series on Friday, and sponsoring driver Ben Kennedy’s team. Bill and Muriel Elliott of the HERO Campaign for Designated Drivers will be the race’s Grand Marshals, and Newark Police Sergeant Andrew Rubin will wave the green flag. On Saturday, the OHS will be sponsoring Nationwide Series championship contender Regan Smith of Junior Motorsports in the 5-Hour Energy 200, along with J.J. Yeley in Sunday’s Sprint Cup race, the AAA 400.

As part of the weekend, a police cruiser-cab, featuring a taxi cab wrap on half of a State Police cruiser, will be telling fans to choose their ride if they’ll be drinking over race weekend.
