Coast Guard Searching For Man After He Jumped Into Delaware River

Sep 08, 2013 -- 1:04pm

The U.S. Coast Guard and local first responders are looking for a man who jumped into the Delaware River south of Philadelphia this morning.

The Coast Guard says the man's girlfriend called the Delaware County Police Department and reported that her boyfriend had jumped into the river near the Golden Point Marina, went under a dock, and never resurfaced. Police then relayed the report to the Coast Guard.

The man was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and work boots. A 25-foot response boat crew from Coast Guard Station Philadelphia is joining local firefighters and police department divers in searching for the man.
