Aug 24, 2013 -- 5:46am

A traffic stop for speeding led to an arrest for marijuana in Ocean City early this morning.

Around 2:35 this morning, a Maryland State Trooper was running radar on the drawbridge going into Ocean City when he clocked a vehicle going 54 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone. The trooper pulled the vehicle over in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven at the corner of North Division Street and North Philadelphia Avenue. When the trooper went to speak with the driver, 19-year-old Bradley Knopf of Annapolis, he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. State Police say the trooper then searched the vehicle, and found seven baggies containing a total of 35.68 grams of marijuana.

Knopf was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
