New Castle Motorcyclist Succumbs to Injuries Sustained in Crash with Car

Delaware State Police say a New Castle motorcyclist has died from injuries he sustained in a collision with a car in New Castle Tuesday night.

Police say the crash occurred just after 9 p.m. as 58-year-old Edward Woodring of Newark was northbound on Route 13 in his Mazda 3; police say Woodring collided with a northbound Suzuki sport motorcycle being driven by 30-year-old Chad Brooks; Brooks was ejected from the bike; police say he was wearing a helmet.

Brooks was taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition; he died Wednesday morning.

The crash remains under investigation.
