Congressman John Carney will hold a roundtable discussion Thursday at the Conrad Schools of Science in Wilmington to discuss recommendations on making college more affordable. The meeting will include administrators from University of Delaware, Del Tech, Wilmington University, Wesley College and Goldey-Beacom College will be on hand. College costs have increased 570% in the past 30 years – increasing at 4 times the median household income and twice as fast as health care costs. Representative Carney is planning another roundtable discussion with current students, recent grads and a credit counselor to better understand the challenges young people with student loan debt face.
