DE Wildland Firefighters Assigned to Howard Fire in Idaho

The Delaware Wildland firefighters are now in Idaho’s Payette National Forest.  For the first time since 2008, the Delaware firefighters are on the front lines of the Howard Fire – a small blaze that was started by lightning on the 18th east of Riggins, Idaho.   The Delaware team is 19 of the 125 total personnel assigned to battle this fire, which currently is about 200 acres – but expected to grow.
