The Kalmar Nyckel will be docking at the Lewes Ferry Terminal starting this weekend through Labor Day weekend.
The original Kalmar Nyckel sailed from Sweden to the New World in 1638, bringing the first settlers to the Delaware River Valley. The ship will be docked at the ferry terminal from August 4 through September 2. Day sails and tours are scheduled for the entire month, giving visitors a chance to learn about its history. Sails are $60 for adults, and $40 for kids ages 17 and under.
