DSP Investigating Home Invasion in Selbyville

Jul 24, 2013 -- 4:09pm

State Police are investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred this morning near Selbyville.  Police say three suspects went into a home on Rooster Road just before 1am and confronted the two people inside and demanded money.  A fight broke out between the male victim and one the suspects.  A second suspect armed with a slap stapler hit the victim in the head – the victim was able to get away and called 9-1-1 from a neighbor’s house.  The female tried to intervene in the fight – and was also hit with the slap stapler.  The suspects grabbed her purse as they left the home.  Both victims were treated and released from Beebe Medical Center.  Police believe the victims were targeted in the home invasion.  The suspects were black – two wore hoodies – one had a large build and the other an average build. The third wore a tan shirt and camouflage cargo shorts and a Panama Jack type hat with chin strap. Anyone with information on the suspects should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
