Jul 21, 2013 -- 2:47pm

Maryland Transportation Authority Police have identified the 22 -year-old woman whose car was rear-ended by a tractor trailer on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Friday night and pushed over the side into the Chesapeake Bay.

Police say Morgan Lake of Sunderland, Maryland was eastbound on the Bridge in her Chrysler Sebring around 8:30 p.m. when she was hit by the tractor trailer, driven by Gabor Lavasz from Prince Edward Island in Canada. Police say Lavasz was NOT hurt in the crash.

Lake's car crashed through the barrier and fell 40-feet into the water. She managed to get out of the car and hang onto a piling of stones around a Bridge support; a nearby boater saw the accident happen and stayed with her until EMS crews arrived.

MTA officials say Lake has been released from Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

NO word yet on if charges will be filed in the crash which closed the eastbound span of the Bridge for six hours.
