3 Arrested For Dealing Cocaine, Heroin In Millsboro Area

Three people have been arrested after an investigation into drug distribution in Millsboro.

Delaware State Troopers from the Sussex County Drug unit and Governor’s Task Force, along with the SORT Team, executed a search warrant on Friday at a home on Willow Lane in Millsboro. 41-year-old Rolando Ruiz, his 73-year-old mother Margarita, and 25-year-old Shannon Irving were all arrested. Troopers seized 1,028 bags of heroin containing 25.7 grams of heroin, with a street value of about $10,000. Troopers also seized nearly 14.5 grams of powdered cocaine, with an estimated street value of $500, $8,127 in cash, hypodermic needles, and digital scales.

The Ruizes were charged with possession of heroin and cocaine with the intent to distribute. Irving was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Rolando is being held at SCI on $94,000 cash bond.
