A group of men who are former inmates will celebrate their completion of a program that was aimed at helping them move on from their past.

16 men who were inmates at the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington will be honored, along with their families, during a special graduation ceremony to mark their completion of the Manhood Program. The program is designed to help recently released inmates focus on responsibility, accountability and respectability for themselves, their families and their communities.

The ceremony will be held at the Canaan Baptist Church on New Castle Avenue in New Castle at 4 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. It’ll be officiated by the Reverend Dr. Christopher Bullock. Plummer Center Warden Steven Wesley and Department of Corrections Commissioner Robert Coupe will also deliver speak during the ceremony.
