BREAKING: Suspect in Salisbury Shooting in Custody

Maryland State Police have charged a suspect in a Wicomico County murder.  29 year old Deonte Grant, a former Salisbury resident, is charged on a warrant with first and second degree murder and other charges in the shooting death of 24 year old Dominic Jones of Shawnee Avenue in Salisbury.  The shooting occurred on July 8 around 4:30 on Patrick Avenue – Jones was taken to the hospital by friends.  Investigators say the 2 men have been involved in an ongoing dispute – Grant has active warrants in Maryland and Delaware, but he was tracked to a residence in Baltimore and eventually arrested at a home in Camp Springs.  He is being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond.  The gun used in the shooting has not been recovered.
