Pedestrian Critical after Route 4 Crash

The investigation continues into a crash on Route 4 in Newark that left a New Castle man in critical condition.  Police say just before 6am, Bully Burton of New Castle walked into the right lane of eastbound Route 4 and stood there – and then began to walk back towards the right shoulder.  Burton then turned around and ran back into the roadway where he was hit by a Lincoln LS driven by 30 year old Craig Pack of Bear.  Burton is critical at Christiana Hospital – Pack was not injured and was properly restrained.  No charges have been filed.
